Joh 18:36 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants
would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another
place."
1Jo 2:15-17 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the
world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the
cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and
does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires
pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the
world hates you.
Luk 16:15 He [Jesus] said to them [pharisees], "You are the ones who justify
yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued
among men is detestable in God's sight.
Rom 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Col 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on
things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on
things above, not on earthly things.
Jam 4:4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Heb 11:13-16 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They
did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a
distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People
who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If
they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had
opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country--a
heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has
prepared a city for them.
