Youths oppress my people,
women rule over them.
O my people, your guides lead you astray;
they turn you from the path.

Service of Women in Congregational and Synodical Offices: The CTCRs' assignment (Commission on Theology and Church Relations):

"Simply stated, this assignment has arisen because the Synod has previously taken the

position that the Scriptures themselves qualify or limit the eligibility of women for service in the church. The Scriptures do so in those passages which require that only men are permitted to serve in the office of pastor and carry out the functions which God has assigned to it (1 Corinthians 14; 1 Timothy 2)."

1 Cor 14:33-35: For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

      As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

1 Ti 2:11-14:  A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.

"In our judgment a Scripturally informed response must seek to hold in tension two equally valid themes. On the one hand, we must take care not to diminish in any way what the Bible teaches us about the full possession by men and women, equally, of the rights and privileges of the priesthood of believers. At the same time, we must remain faithful to Biblical teaching regarding the uniqueness of God's gift of the pastoral office, and the divinely given requirements which circumscribe it."

Why not the uniqueness given to men and the divinely requirements give to that? (Husband's love your wives... Head of house)

Children/elders

Exo 20:12  12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Eph 6:1-4 1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2"Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."[a] 4Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Slaves and Masters

Col 3:20  Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.

1Pe 5:5  You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

Slaves

Col 3:22  Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

Eph 6:5  Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;

1 Pe 2:18 18Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

Authorities/governments

Rom 13:1-2  1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

Heb 13:17  Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.

1 Pe 2:13-15  13Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

Only translated "Deacon" in KJV, NASB and NIV in:

1 Ti 3:8-13

8Deacons, likewise, are to be men worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. 9They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

 11In the same way, their wives[a] are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

 12A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well. 13Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

** NIV has footnote on 11 saying "deaconess", but word according to NASB and KJV is γυνή gunē; a prim. word; a woman: - bride (1), wife (71), wife's (1), wives (11), woman (96), woman's (1), women (33).

===========

As order of creation, paralleled as Christ over the Church.

1 Cor 11:3;8-9  3Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

8For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

1 Cor 14:34-35: 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

1Ti 2:11-13 11A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

Eph 5:22-25  22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

 25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

Tit 2:4-5:  Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

1 Pe 3:1-2: 1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.

note: 6. May women serve as assistants in the distribution of the Lord's Supper?

While some might argue that assisting the presiding minister in the distribution of

the elements is not necessarily a distinctive function of the pastoral office, the

commission strongly recommends that, to avoid confusion regarding the office of

the public ministry and to avoid giving offense to the church, such assistance be

limited to men. [65]
